(Sorry for my spelling in advance) Truly this is one hell of a synth, i cannot stop myself smiling at the beast. ;) I would like to explain something to you all, if i may? For the past 4 years i have had very bad PTSD or post tramatic stress disorder......from my childhood, but it only reard its ugly head in my 40s. also along with deep spells of bad depression, it has been the most horrid time ever.
I have always loved music, making it and hearing it. it is the only thing in my life that has been consistant through the years.
I love this guy, always have
Then just last month i found out that Howard Jones.....you remember him? from the 80s.....New song, What is love? Like to get to know you well, he was touring and he was playing quiet near me, so i got 2 tickets for me and my niece...She has also loved Howard Jones since the age of 2, she is now 27.
Wow...... as soon as he started to play his synths and sing all the old classics, i felt something different inside me, i had not felt it for years, it was filling me with a feeling of being full of joy and i started to move my feet and a huge grin came over me, i was beaming!! singing along with my childhood hero, who inspired me to try to do the right things in life. Two albums later me and my niece were on our way home, I felt alive and was humming the songs to myself.....man i felt great, all that dark shadow that had been enveloping me for so long was gone!!
The very next day I woke and the only thing that was on my mind was ( I HAVE TO GET A NEW SYNTH ) Got to save...got to save.
Loveing life once again, and its summer. Peace to you all Jay AKA Automaton http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exUk1T4jVFE&list=UU85gdv0pcg4oM5m9zMRT5bA&index=1&feature=plcp Two Howard Jones songs that i did, before the dark took me. |

What a wonderful story! I am glad you found something to spark your interest, and what better way to do that than with a new MOX? Enjoy your new synth and live life to the fullest! |

I’m very happy with my Mox too, and am spending hours playing to each of the voices. I’m finding myself swept away by each sound trying to find some melody that captures the essence of the sound. Rock, Jazz, Blues, Latin, it’s all there; and then there’s all those ethnic instruments. I’m glad your having fun too. |

Hi hojomox, You’re not alone in how you feel. I too have had very depressing periods in my life where I thought I could not feel anything anymore. And, interestingly enough, it is often music or another emotional trigger that wakes me up and lets me feel again. And, you’re not alone in how you feel about the MOX! I try different keyboards out at different stores, and often get an urge to try something new. But, after sitting down on my MOX, I start to wonder, “Just how much more do I need?” It is truly a wonderland of sounds and styles. I am constantly amazed at how wonderful this technology is and how lucky we are to have access to it. I feel I could spend a lifetime just exploring the different abilities of the MOX alone. Have fun, and best of luck and health in the future. |

Thank you. It seems to really blight me at winter time, and depending on if I’am trouble free of everything else, depends on how long it lasts and how severe it is. I hope you all have a great summertime Best wishes Jay |

I can understand about the ups and downs of life, and music being a positive force. I played bass in a top40 band back in the 80s. When that burned out, I gave up on music, there was nothing in music for me, but I kept listening and had the desire. Fast forward 30 years, I bought a bass, and a basic synth, then a better synth, sold the bass, now bought the MOX6. I am so excited to be interested in music again, and the MOX can make the sounds that I want to create. It has started a whole new world for me. It is a challenge, and very rewarding. The Online world is just another positive aspect. Keep On Playing !! |
