For some reason, I have lost the performance settings in my Motif Rack ES. I have done a factory reset but it does not bring back the performance banks. There are only 32 multi voices, but, again, no performance sounds. Help!

That is correct… well almost.

There are 128 MULTI locations, 32 are programmed with examples… the rest are not programmed with anything - they are MULTIs for YOU to use. Learn from the first 32 then overwrite those, as well.

From your Owner’s Manual:
About the User Bank of Multis When shipped from the factory, this tone generator contains a full set of specially programmed 32 User Multis in the User Bank. If a Multi in a User Bank (User Voice) is overwritten, the User Voice will be lost. When you save the edited Multi, be careful not to overwrite any important User Multis. Up to 128 Multis can be stored in the User Bank.

PERFORMANCES are totally separate from MULTIS- you are clearly mixing the two entities up.

To see your PERFORMANCES hold [SHIFT] + [MULTI] = PERFORMANCE mode
There are 128 PERFORMANCES (totally separate from the 128 MULTIs)

Thanks for your response. I knew the difference between multis and performances, I just forgot how to access the performances and thought they were gone. Thanks for your help. It resolved the issue.
