When I create a song on dp 5 and name it on the sequence screen and then transer the file to the motif the name of the song does not appear on the song name field of the motif .I am doing the same thing i was doing when i transfered the song to psr 8000 . and now i have to enter the name of the song using the scroll and insert function on the motif , which takes a long time. If anybody knows a way around this please reply . Thank you

Are you saving the DP sequence as a .MID file? As in “MySong.mid”.

I am saving the sequence as “MySong.mid” . I have no problem loading the song to motif or identifying the file
while loading . The problem is when I am in song mode, on the motif, the name of the song doesn’t appear .

hey, having to name the song on the
Motif is not a major deal.

A USB ASCII keyboard can make that (and some other tasks) a lot easier to do. See page 41 of the XF Reference Manual.
