For some reason, when I connect my xs to spdif of my maudio 1814 card, I have low volume of Motif ... ?

I know that volume slider is analog control, and that I can’t change level of sound with that control.

I used some cheap cable to make this connection, can that be problem?

What should I do?
Thanks
Regards

The DIGITAL OUT is taken just before the analog section, so anything that can affect level before that point will make a difference.

No, as long as there are no dropouts or similar problems, the cable can’t be the cause. With digital, as long as the “ones and zeros” can be determined, the level of the converted analog signal isn’t affected.
