Mike very unusual but thats why i like it
there are many styles in here more then just funk
i love al the instruments in here
only the flute at 0.50
in my ears !! .. it doesnt fit in the complete song

This song reminds me of the later works by Kit Watkins.
In songs like this he used a digital sax.
You might try an alto from stock.

Mike,

I agree with ;JOOP! about the sax.

I felt that the flute was overblown too many times (flute was my very first instrument).  While the articulations were good, I would reduce the number of overblown notes.  It can get a little piercing and disrupt the smooth flow of the piece. (My 2 cents)

The rest I thought was very good and I enjoyed listening.

Very nice work Mike, love that constant bass line, and I also agree that there is more than funk working in this music.
A sort of oriental blend is what I also hear.
The flute did not bother me, but the choir if thats what I hear, is dominant and stands out with lots of presence, not feeling that part.

Nontheless, this makes me want to get back to creating music again. lol
