hey, im having trouble with some basic stuff i was wondering if anyone can help me with some problems i have. Everything im doing is in the Yamaha motif es6 only. 1) when in pattern mode, how do i keep each Recording section (A,B,C...,) different from eachother with respect to the muting, volume and sustain. Exp: If im muting tracks 1,2,3 in section A, but in section B i wanna mute 4,5,6 how do i make it come about? 2)How do i hook up the effects to a voice? 3)How do i use the chain fuction? 4)How do i record a Wave having the RAM to do it? 5)How do i record a guitar or vocal voice into the Motif?
If you can help i would appriciate it!!

There’s quite a few documents in the Support area here that discuss the questions you’re asking. |

meatballfulton is one those real and very helpful Motif Gurus out here on Motifator (unlike many of us, myself included). |

As daunting as it may seem, you should take a ‘stroll’ through the ‘Support’ section of the site. Even the one that deals with the ‘Classic’. There are some basic functions and features that have remained in the Motif Family of workstations throughout its development. What you should probably do is take a couple of hours to go through the articles and Power User Guides, even print out some of them for examination away from the computer.
And then there is just ‘posting up’ and asking. Lots of guys willing to help because at some point we were there too.
