Hey, yamaha hey anyone is there any word out there about something new or is the XF still the bitch around here. I want to know if I should go on waiting. Yamaha, please kindly inform me on this. If you have a new board with your name on it that’s what I’m getting. Will be checking in for the reply.
Peace

It’s XF on steroids.
They have doubled the wave rom AGAIN, there is almost 10000 arpeggios.
It has 256MB RAM, 3Gs of flash and XSF6 has 62 keys!!!
And they have new iPad apps, too.
Now you can control the master volume with your iPad, wirelessly!!!

Wow, that is truly owesome news !!!

p.s.
will Yamaha set the standrd for hardware keyboard ones again for fwe years to come as they did with Motif XF ?

also what is about prising $ 4999 of 88 modell and also one 1.5gb Flash will cost $ 600 ?

So 4999 + 600 x2 = #6199 in total?

still sounds good for a price, because for exampele in the Nazy Germany the prisoners where treated much worse

What do u think guys, sound good to me? probably i have to cancel a heart sergery for my doughter because the new Motif coming with a double wawe Rom and in a new colour, but who cares? such as Yamaha corporation.
so year, 6199 should be ready for a new owesome Motif XSF

Wow thanks tuquoque, something told my pinky to stop by and check here just in case. That sounds awesome I think that’s the one I’m getting. You know I’ve been doing lots of good investments left and right lately; not to mention PT10. It was PT7 since Yamaha ever came up win anything new; beside the iPads features you mentioned above. It’s getting ridiculously slow up in here. I’m on that webinar with AVID this feb. 14, trying to crack on some head spinning production tricks. That’s the level Yamaha should be on right about now.
Oh by the way isn’t it much easier and more comfortable to just use my master level on the XF itself rather than going back to twisting my little finger trying to get something to move on the iPad screen. What’s music coming down to? Gears are now made for these kids who have no musicianship.
Anyways, when is that new and awesome XSF hitting the store. I’bout to go pick one up at my neighborhood SAMASH/GTR CTR.
Let me know family, spread the word
Peace!

We must be patient, someone told me Yamaha is working on a new spectral synthesis that should be able to replicate even vocal parts, I can’t say if there will be an hardware implementation. What is sure is that at now much Motif owners are waiting for something really new. I have tryed to suggest Yamaha to implement virtual analog oscillators, FM engine, an to improve the GUI.
I’ve tryed the new Korg Kronos, and I can say that is not what I did expect, the multi synthesis engine is great, but the audio quality is really far from Yamaha or Kurzweil… So I’d like to have simply some improvements in osc section, and maybe a software utility to convert and manage samples… There are some programs but Yamaha should give us something more…

That’s what I like to hear. I like to know and rest assured that something cooking in the kitchen rather than not. Something must always cook even though Yamaha tries to act like they can’t discuss such matters. One of the inherent characterics of matters is that it tends to occupy the space. So no matter how hard yiu hide the matters the matter shall find way to the space out there. I could have gotten the Kronos already but I’m talking about investment, so I’d rather use my money for the even so arrogant Yamaha because they’ve convinced my taste with their sounds quality. But that don’t mean I can’t give you a good whoop every now and then because that big old head of yours keeps getting even bigger. You’ve been pushing his XF thing far too long now. Let it go.

Peace

I’m told that there is a special edition of the Tyros 4 in black coming shortly and a replacement (Tyros 5?) due in 2013. The S950 (S910 replacement) should be at NAMM in March.
Yes I know these are arranger keyboards but it shows Yamahas commitment to being ahead of the game.

The ‘rumors’ persist! I ‘heard’ it was to be called the ‘iXF’ and the ‘rumored’ features are built in compatability with not only the computor but with iPads and Smart Phones.

At this rate and at my own risk I’m willing to believe anything until something or anything with Yamaha name on I drops. I don’t understand this behavior of the policy of silence. I wish Apple never started this pattern of behavior, everybody want to keep their own little secret until whenever.... Even if it’s not worth it. Like I said I stopped by my nearby Samash, I played a little bit again with the Kronos just trying to discover it some more because just the touch screen ain’t cutting it for me amore. I want to give it a chance to surprise me and justify the whopping $2900.00 for the 61 keys while the same size XF 61 is $2400.00

This thing costs more than the XF and i still can’t understand why. They must not like themselves enough.

The longer the wait the better the innovation and the richer and more complex the features on the next Yamaha workstation. I get it, Yamaha is waiting so they can make a major comeback and shoot straight to the top again like they did with the advent of the motif line some ten years ago.  I guess based on everything that’s out in the market today from avid, korg, Roland, kurzweil even Yamaha ...Yamaha will come out with something that will put them a couple of legs up ahead of their time, just because they can do it. So I’m going to wait it out. Now I’m just going to squeeze even more juice out of my XS. Still something in there. I’ll probably be one of the first ones to grab this new thing from Yamaha post motif line. Because of the similarity between the XS and the XF Yamaha is looking to come out with a board different not only in color but in everything, shape, color, size, name, features, playability, connectivity, capability, design, chipset, engine, and yeah price. Yes XF is the end of motif line; Yes so, I’ll wait it out. The thing about Yamaha when they suck they really suck like how they’re pushing the envelope with the XF, but when they excel they do excel period. What this thing will be, I do not know. But I know it will make mighty music. As for me I will never again get left behind, like buying one thing and next up the new version is out the following day. I’ve waited, I can still Waite. Got nothing to lose. It’s not like money will just disappear.  One thing I know for sure Yamaha is about to quit computer and focus on workstation that does it all with so much features one needs not the computer if merely for the big screen.
Peace

Thank you.... I finally hear someone else talk about the audio quality of the Kronos.  I own Korg keyboards, but the richness and fullness of the audio coming out just isn’t there.  Man, I’ve tried talking to Korg users and they get pretty mad at me, calling me names and stuff.  Eye candy.  But I will honestly say, the motif is not as flashy as Roland or Korg but the sound quality just makes you happy and melt.  And no! I’m not a fan boy, because I own all 3 anyways.  Motif is like keyboard orgasm.  Don’t ask me why I said that. LOL. Thanks Yamaha.

Well, pardon me for not noticing the detail. If that’s really the justification for the price hike, I dare not take your words for the sake of korg, if so then there you have it. Something had to give where the overall musicality of it didn’t. Full sized keybed thank you, then again no thanks I’ll pass. Like I said I dare not take your words for it and I hope korg has a much better reason. No, I don’t think you’re crazy, I just think there is a better reason or at least should be if any at all.

Hey keyfax, why don’t you make it so that people can start liking and not liking stuff around here. There’s a lot of things I would like to like up in here.

And also this from can Improve a nudge by making it so we get notification on the phone whenever people write back. Almost every app I have on my phone does that why not you guys. I mean this is the new way, you ain’t got to be left behind, there’s a lot of people who visit this forum on a regular basis. I want to look at my phone and see a number 1,2,3 or 10 or even a 100 next to the motifator app denoting activity or something. That would be cool....
Peace
