Wondering if an multi editor file saved on computer from the S70/90XS can be loaded to the Rack XS via Rack XS editor as a multi?

No.

The S90 XS/S70 XS (2009) can IMPORT files created on the Motif XS (2007), Motif-Rack XS (2008), and S90 ES (2005). The opposite direction is not possible with the Editors.

The Motif-Rack XS (2008) can IMPORT files created on the Motif XS (2007), the Motif ES (2003), the Motif-Rack ES (2004).

Usually the later instrument, if possible, will read the file formats of the earlier product… as there is a chance to make a proper “look up table” so reasonable substitutions can be made, if necessary. Sorry.

The Keyboard can load the MULTI from the Rack XS. I’m confused.

Yes you’re right, that would solve a part of it in terms of bringing what I’ve done on the Rack over to the keyboard. It’s a long story, but for situations where I only need to bring the rack, I would love to be able to create/edit on the keyboard itself, save to an editor file, load to the rack and off I go!
