Hello everyone, Nothing against Yamaha because I really like them, but I am trying to compose symphonic metal/alternative/classical/gothic rock and I cannot find any models below $2,000 that will accomplish this style of music. I need clean, crisp and clear sound quality and tons of dark, ethereal sounds. I cannot afford the Motif series. The MM6/MM8, MOX6/MOX8, MO6/MO8, DGX series, YPG series, PSR series, etc. I have tried but they did not have what I was looking for. Please, if anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. My budget is about $1,400 and I prefer new...gently used as a last resort. Thank you again! -LSS |

I’d score a used MO6/MO8 and hit the shop. A busload of sounds reside there. And you’ll have change from your $1400.00 bill.

Thank you for your reply. I will look into it. What does anyone think of the Korg M50, 88 key? |

I dunno much about the Korg M50, you have to check it out to see if it has the sounds you are looking for. Korg does have nice unique strings and pads and synth sounds, as does Yamaha. Happy hunting on your quest for tone! |
