I was wondering on how happy you MOX8 owners are.I own a XF6 and I am looking for a 88 key board to run my XF6 trew.Im very happy with the XF but i run out of keys to quick with 61 keys.I dont want the weight or price of a XF8.

I think the MOX8 is great, but if you have an XF6, you could also get a lighter, cheaper 88 (like a Yamaha P95 for example) and connect it to the XF6 over MIDI. That would get you your 88 keys too.

I don’t own an XF, but I do have an XS8 in the US, and a MOX8 in Europe.

Soon there will be a MOX8 in both locations. The MOX8 is so much more hands-on than the “big” Motifs, it’s like a big Motif with all the less optimally implemented functions (user sampling, multitrack audio recording, FireWire, EtherNet) AND the confusion left out.

The MOX8 is also half the weight of the big 88-key Motifs, only 33 lbs. Makes quite a difference in air travel costs. :)

Thank you for the advise.I went to Guitar center and played the p95,cp33,p155 and mox8.It was alot eaiser for me to play the keys on the mox.Im just wondering about the durability of the mox seeing that it is so light in weight.I was impressed with the mox8,and I think I might just have to get one.

The P95 and the MOX8 have similar (identical?) keyboards; and likewise the CP33 and P155 use the same kind of keyboard. But yes, the CP33/P155 feel quite different from the P95/MOX8 (and they also weight quite a bit more).
