I would like to start my mox6 the same way instead of the MO Xpressive setting. It can power on showing any song but I want the mox6 to have these buttons active on power on. 1. Second row of adjustment knobs on the left to be set to ARP. This way my Tempo knob will be the default action ready to use. 2. Perform button is the default. 3. Pattern Section button is on. I use my mox6 mainly to provide free play backing tracks to practice with while I play drums or harmonica. The three settings above are what I want defaulted to when I turn the unit on. I looked at the Power On Mode in the Utility menu but do not see a way to do it. |

Well you can’t be in both PERFORMANCE mode and PATTERN mode at the same time. Sorry. That simply is not an available condition. You can select any of the available options found for the POWER ON MODE parameter. |

I’m sorry, what I was referring to was the Pattern Section button or as it is also labeled underneath as Performance Control. That is the button I would like active when I turn the unit on. I did discover how to enable Performance mode with the Power On option in Utility. However I would also like: 1. The Tempo knob active when unit is powered on. Made active when you press the Knob Function 2 button three times. Something I must do every time I scroll through and activate any USR preset. This is a pain because I use the tempo knob so much. 2. The Pattern Section/Performance Control button to be on when powered on. Although it does stay on if I set it once before scrolling through and using USR presets; it’s ok but I would rather have it on as default. |

Sorry, we are confused, there is no PERFORMANCE CONTROL button on the MO6/MO8 Oh, we see you posted your question in the wrong forum… you probably own a MOX6 or MOX8 and didn’t realize you posted in the wrong place… The MO6 and MO8 (2005) are discontinued they were replaced by the MOX6 and MOX8. There are several ways to select Programs on the MOX6/MO8, these include the BANK/GROUP/PROGRAM number buttons method, the DATA WHEEL, and the INC/DEC buttons.
The entire right front panel is about selection of Programs and the four functions (PATTERN SECTION select, TRACK select, MUTE, SOLO) - the lighted function buttons work depending on what you are doing at the time.
If all four of these buttons are OFF (and you are on the main PLAY screen), you are able to use the right front panel for PROGRAM SELECTION (that is, the BANK SELECT / GROUP SELECT / PROGRAM NUMBER buttons will act to select programs)… only when all four LEDs are OFF. The [PERFORMANCE CONTROL] function (only available in PERFORM mode, by the way) must be manually selected - at least the first time - you cannot have it boot up with that function selected, sorry. However, once you select [PERFORMANCE CONTROL] it is possible to move to another PERFORMANCE leaving these functions active. You do so by using the DATA WHEEL or [INC/DEC] button program selection methods while on the main PERFORMANCE screen. So, for example, if you are selecting PROGRAMS, or have the MOX6/MOX8 boot up in PERFORMANCE mode, you can then manually activate the [PERFORMANCE CONTROL] button - it can stay activated while you move to other PERFORMANCES as long as you use the DATA WHEEL or INCREMENT/DECREMENT buttons to change programs. If you want to use the Program (Bank Select/Group Select/Program Number) buttons, to change the sound you must turn OFF the [PERFORMANCE CONTROL] function (and any other TRACK, SOLO, MUTE) before you can use the right front panel buttons to select PROGRAMS. The Row of left front panel KNOBS that is active is programmable, you simply have to use the buttons to the left of the knobs to select the ROW that you want to have active.
Press [STORE] to lock that perference into the PERFORMANCE.

Perfect. I just have to store each one individually then with this knob priority setting. That works fine. Yes I did notice the Performance Control button stays active while changing songs in performance mode. Fine. Is there a way to reset the values for just one stock performance. So like the changes I stored to only Sweet Sixteen can be undone without affecting other performance songs. Sorry, did not notice I posted in the wrong forum, of course I have the MOX6. |
