Camo has come along way from the old green brown and kaki blotches. I rermember when Jim Crumley’s “TreeBark” first made an appearance in the Bowhunter Magazine, gee back in the 80’s. Nowadays there are literally dozens of Camo patterns and manufacturers.
Note how this soldier nearly fades into the mountain side.

I love guns as much as the next enthusiast of all legal ethical shooting sports, it’s good healthy clean fun too.
Ah, but a bit of this info is startling…

Dangerous Business: China and Libya promote new weapons

Allison Barrie takes a look at challenging juxtaposition at a tradeshow for land and air defense

Seeing attractive Allison Barrie, one would never guess that she was/is a knowledgable weapons expert.

I love beautiful educated ladies who are weapons savy…

This made me smile:
Homeland Security conference at the LA Convention Center 2008
Yesterday we started at 0 Dark thirty for the LA Convention Center and spent the day listening to presentations about security projects, research, and technology.  It wasn’t all dull work. We also got to give our own presentations. I didn’t realize we were going to do that and had little to say. I did make the point that it would be a lot better for security if we were to treat the American people as citizens of a Republic, not subjects of an empire. “Trust the professionals and stay out of the way” is not good policy. Oddly enough, that seemed to go over pretty well.
Allison Barrie, Fox News Security Analyst and commentator, is covering the show. Allison was formerly a professional ballet dancer, and has just earned her Ph.D. in political science. She’s based in London.

In one of my favourite George Carlin comedy bits, he refers to the facts of television morality and back in those days, you could not mention certain verbage.

Anyway the matter at hand was that you could mention that you “pricked your finger, but you could not finger your prick”.

Here are some Karambit Style Fighter pricks you may not have seen before this post:

US Military Developing Gigantic Magnetic 21,600mph Slingshot
By Charlie White

Since the US military sucks up nearly a trillion dollars of our income taxes every year, they have plenty of money to blow, and here’s one of the cool toys such prodigious amounts of cash will buy: it’s a giant magnetic slingshot. But the spending has hardly even started on this one yet—the Air Force so far has contributed a paltry half million dollars to LaunchPoint Technologies to develop its idea of a satellite launch system that accelerates its payload around a giant ring using magnetic levitation (MagLev) technology.

How are they really going to use this?

This all sounds like a great idea until you realize that the 220-pound payload proposed to be launched by this device will be exposed to 10,000Gs of force as it’s accelerated to a speed of 6 miles per second. Heck, that’s 21,600mph. Imagine the noise that thing will make. Notice in the pictures here that it’s situated out in the middle of nowhere.

Satellite launcher? We’re thinking it’s probably going to be slinging lethal projectiles at those who hate America, rather than launching harmless and useful things like satellites. – Charlie White

Shooting v.s. Golf – Shooting Wins

I WANT ONE AND I WANT IT NOW!!!!
AND I WANT ONE!!!!
This would be so COOL for so many things……….

Found this over at the Everyday, No Days Off Gun Blog.
According to a study conducted by Responsive Management, 34.4 million Americans went target shooting in 2009.
For comparison, 28.6 million Americans golfed (a minimum of one round) in 2008, according to the National Golf Foundation.
Full Story – HERE
I have only been golfing a couple of times, but I actually found it more stressful than a stress relief. Shooting on the other hand, even if you are terrible at it… it’s hard not to have a great time.
No word yet on the statistics of the popularity of combining guns and golf as shown in the picture I used for this article.

Big Gun Grill
I’m not surprised 20 of you have forwarded me the Big Gun Grill, which I hear is parked somewhere in West Texas and is fast becoming an Internet hit. Real men are hunters, deer killers, grillers and meat eaters. Friend and regular blogger Chris is really salivating: “bet we could get some tenderloins and hindquarters on that baby Hanback!” he wrote excitedly. This from a guy who drove from VA to SC and back in one day this spring, towing a massive cooker he bought from a guy down there. It would not shock me if he drove out to Waco or wherever to pick up one of these S&W;500 monsters. BTW, wonder if smokes curls out the barrel when you’re grilling a bunch of rib-eyes or backstrap, that would be a cool touch?

Sorry Hank Hill, but we love the smell of charcoal in the morning,,, hahaha!!

Grillox.

World’s Smallest Gun
Filed in Gadgets, Mischief, Spy Gear

Don’t let the size fool you… this gun can kill! The World’s smallest gun fires real 2.34mm rim fire bullets up to 367 feet at 270MPH. The gun is being sold as a “collector’s” item and will set you back about $6,000 to $60,000 (for the diamond-studded 18-carat version). Currently, however, it is technically illegal in the US do to the fact that the barrel is less than three inches long.

The guns are manufactured by SwissMiniGun in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Read on for more pictures.

Talk about concealable…
