I have a motif es6 but it won’t maintain power. It comes on for a few seconds but goes off. I was wonder what the problem may be and if it is exspensive to repair. I’ve tried replacing the power cord with no success.
Thanks for any help.

Hi, i’m no expert on the electronics of these keyboards, but i’ve fixed a couple of problems on my keyboards, so you probably should try to check your power supply fuses and replace them it could just be a faulty fuse and it’s a cheap thing to fix. Getting the service manual would probably help you troubleshoot the problem too.

OP: Was it a fuse problem or something else? I have what sounds like a similar problem.

A fuse gives no problems as reported.
It sounds like an overheated part of the power supply.
You should (have) it opened up.
Preferred by a real dealer.
