Hi all,

I have a question. I purchased 2 voice libraries from Keyfax. When I load them in, my old voices that were on the MO are erased and I have to load in an ALL file that I made a long time ago that contains all the MO orginal voices. Is there anyway to load the voices but not lose the original ones that came with the MO?

thanks

Those original voices and performances come back when you
do a RESET.
But then you’ll find that most of those voices were duplicates from the PRE-banks.

Time to start to read the manual .........................

I am aware of the reset button explained in the manual as well as the Go-MO video that I purchased. When I reset my MO, I lose all the additional voices that I purchased. When I add those voices again, I lose some of the voices that came with the MO.

The Mo-series come with a USER2 bank filled with copies of the PRE-banks
and a USER1 bank with examples for study.
If you like some USER1 voices you got to choose what you want to have at hand:
you can only have 256 Voices from any source in USER1&2;.
That means that you must make a list of your favourites in USER1
and the Voices you like from your libraries (don’t say you like them all).
Finally you can load Voices one by one from any source and put them in the right place
to a maximum of 256.

Make a backup of those (ALLfile).

Hey sorry to steal the thread, but I’m a little confused. Here Im reading you purchasing purchasing sets of voices and adding them to your mo6, but in the thread I started just above this thread I was told you can’t add any voices to the mo8? So is it possible or not. I don’t own an mo8 yet so I’m really confused. I really want to add the power grand voice from the original motif. I’ve tried searching everywhere on line but it’s still vague enough for me to not know whether I can add a voice to the the user voices or not?  But from reading this thread it sounds completely possible, it just seems I would have to give up one voice already on the mo8 to replace it with the power grand. Is this correct or not?

I actually might find some piano sounds I really like on the mo8 but unfortunately can’t find a mo8 locally to try out, so all I know is I love the power grand found on the original motif8 (what I play at church) and want that on the mo8 since it’s the best sounding piano to me I’ve found and it’s what I use the most.

Once again sorry for the thread steal, just trying to figure this out before purchasing an mo8 sometime this week.

According to the manual (as far as I understand, I don’t own a Mo)
you can load Voices, as long as those use the internal Samples.
Well, when you consider that only a fraction of those internal
samples are used, you will see that it is possible to create
hundreds of new Voices using those other samples.

But, indeed, I can not see extra memory for wave-forms or samples in the Mo.
May be it’s not what you want.
How about an Xs (bit obsolete, thus cheaper)?
