Hello all, this is my first post in this great community.

I’ve not found info about balanced/unbalanced MoX outputs. What type of outputs it has?

I ask this cause i’m thinking to buy a MoX 8 and a couple of active monitors Yamaha HS-50M. My configuration would be:

HS-50M (right and left) <==> MoX8 <----> PC/DAW

using MoX8 as audio interface to record mic, guitar and electric bass. What’s your opinion?

In this scenario if MoX doesn’t have balanced outputs, what connectors i should use for the best performance of HS-50M studio monitors?

Many thanks in advance

Nau

You can connect the MOX directly to the monitors if you wish. The HS speakers are able to accept input from balanced (XLR), balanced (TRS 1/4") or from unbalanced (TS 1/4") sources.

The MOX has unbalanced outputs.

From the HS50M Owner’s Manual:

Phone Jack (TRS, Balanced or Unbalanced)
The HS-series studio monitors also feature 1/4-inch
phone jack connectors that can be used for either balanced
or unbalanced connections.
For balanced connection via these jacks you’ll need to
use balanced cables fitted with TRS phone plugs — three contact
phone plugs that are basically the same as
standard stereo phone plugs with tip, ring, and sleeve
contacts (thus the “TRS” designation — see the illustration)
The phone jacks will also accept unbalanced signals
—simply plug in a standard mono phone plug.
