Actually I want to create a voice with piano, backstring, musicbox (chime) voice.

They are in the SUPPORT area accessible from any page here on Motifator. Do a KEYWORD SEARCH “XA CONTROL” use the EXACT PHRASE MATCH. XA CONTROL is Expanded Articulation. The Assignable Function 1/2 buttons can be used to turn ELEMENTS ON and OFF to accomplish various musical gestures that cannot be reproduced by just one particular waveform. The tutorial expands on this and uses it to turn ON and OFF entire VOICES to execute musical performance transitions. The articles are written for the XS but apply to the Motif XF and the MOX6/MOX8 (of course the button pushes are quite different on the MOX6/MOX8 but the theory is exactly the same). |

Hi Bad_Mister, I read the document of advanced feature of XA, it seems we have to set the AF on/off in the VOICE MODE. But I noticed in the PERF “Dark Continental” has layered voice feature with AF1/2 without change the preset VOICE. How can I do that?
Thanks,

Not sure which PERFORMANCE you are speaking of… but assigning the XA CONTROL (expanded articulation control) is always done at the VOICE editing level, because you are manipulating ELEMENTS (multi-samples) within the VOICE itself.
the AF1/2 buttons can additional be used in the assignable CONTROL SET, but they are specifically attached to XA CONTROL
