Hello, I am considering purchasing a MOX6 to expand my sound choices for a cover band gig, and I am wondering if it is possible to play the MOX6’s sounds (pianos, eps) using an 88 key controller? Do the MOX6 and MOX8 have the same sound engine? Would I have to purchase the MOX8 to utilize the full range of presets?. With some great sales going on over Memorial Weekend, I am hoping I can find an answer to this question. Thanks in advance, Bill |

If you use an 88 key controller, the MOX6 sounds will respond over the full 88-key range, just as they do on a MOX8. |

ksounds, Thanks for your quick reply. I am glad to hear that the sounds will respond over the full 88 key range. I would like to use the piano and ep sounds from the MOX6, but not have to purchase the larger and more expensive MOX8. Thanks again, Bill |

Of course you can use the full keyboard range using an 88 keyboard controller to control the MOX 6 (MIDI allows you to address 128 notes) But even on the MOX 6 you can address the full range using the octave up/down buttons on the front panel. Even the MOX 8 has the octave buttons which is very rare to find on an 88 keyboard. (but very handy sometimes) |

The MOX8 can address more than 88-keys with the octave up/down buttons? COOL! My decision is made then. MOX8 it is. |
