folks,
new to steinberg and cubase and i’m trying to make it work with my xs8.
downloaded and installed studio manager, motif xs editor and extensions for steinberg.
got the xs8 midi ports set but can’t get my xs8 to show up in the device editor pane on the modify workspace tab in studio manager setup.
any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you have the correct version of the Motif XS Editor. There are two. One works with Studio Manager (Motif XS Editor) the other works as a VSTi Plug-in (Motif XS Editor VST)

The most common error is to download and install the Editor VST instead of the Editor.

You want “Motif XS Editor version 1.3.0” if you are looking for the STUDIO MANAGER editor

made some progress, now i get a “firmware version error” in both the motif editor and in cubase.
i get the blue button and “offline”, i click on “offline” and it sends me to the auotsync screen where i then hit start and it gives me the error msg “firmware version ereor”.
