I have recently acquired a Motif XF and am new to this forum. I am trying to record multiple voices (e.g. a Performance) into Logic 9 in MIDI mode. The following are my immediate questions:

1.How does one record a MIDI track using the Motif’s voices into Logic 9?
2. How does one record multiple MIDI tracks played at once via the Performance mode into separate MIDI tracks in Logic, as is done in the internal sequencer of the Motif?
3. If a multi-track performance is recorded into the Motif sequencer, is there a method of transferring it directly to discrete channels in Logic?

I am able to record tracks in Audio mode without problem, so my question relates solely to MIDI recording. I have downloaded the appropriate drivers, and am able to record MIDI using Logic’s voices. As the Motif’s voices are very good, I want to be able to record its voices as MIDI tracks in Logic.  I use an Apogee Duet for recording the audio tracks, and a direct USB connection between the Motif and a MacBook Pro for MIDI.
I would appreciate any guidance on the matter or any links to prior articles that have addressed the subject. Thanks.
