Hi!

I’m thinking about to get a used Motif Rack but I read that there are midi timing problems with this unit. How serious is this problem? Does it affect playing multitimbral patches seriously or prevent smooth patch changes? I also read that this problem was solved in the es version but it’s a bit too expensive :(

The Motif Rack does have problem staying in time if you send it too much MIDI data.

Filtering out everything you don’t need (after touch for example) from the MIDI stream before it’s sent will help.

My advice is keep saving your money until you can afford an ES Rack.
