Hi, I’m having a little problem with samples from a library which I’m trying to edit. The samples are about 10 seconds in length and have about 3 seconds count in at the start which I obviously want to remove. With 2 particular files when I dial in the start time and press enter, the start time returns to the beginning and it clips 3 seconds off the end of the sample, then when I try it again it corrects the start point but the sample is already damaged. It only seems to affect 2 particular samples but it would make the song incomplete without them so it would be nice if there was something I could do to remedy the problem.

It is not clear from your post, but we assume you are using the Motif XF’s [INTEGRATED SAMPLING] > EDIT functions to trim the sample. This is covered in the following artile. In general, editing the front and end of the sample is very visual and it is hard to understand how you are cutting off the END of the sample without seeing that you are getting ready to do that Please see the following article which covers (with graphics) trimming a sample using the START POINT, ZOOM, and END POINT functions. And although written for the XS it applies in full for the Motif XF. |
