December 2010 I purchase a Motif XF7 and I still exploring it.

Now the time has arrived to experiment a bit with all it’s possibilities.

Slowly I want to start making my own sounds or change the sounds inside the XF to my own liking.

I know you have 4 User banks to save your own sounds and in User bank 1 are the new sound that where not it the XS.

I tried to look for the answer in the manual and this form but I can find it so I have 2 questions.

Are the inside User Bank 2, 3 and 4 sounds that are also in the Internal Banks of the Motif?

If there are equal (dual) sounds in the Intern and and User Bank is there a possibility to see in a quick way which sounds?

User banks 2 - 4 from a factory reset can be safely replaced as they are duplicate voices from the PRE banks.  User bank 1 utilize the new waveforms only found in the XF.

Feel free to save your new/modified voices in User 2 - 4.

if you make a backup (ALLfile) of the XF as out-of-the-box,
you can even get those first 128 user voices back if needed.
Then you got 512 user voice slots available.

Btw.: when you want to make new sounds,
start by ‘tweaking’ existing sounds or studying the set-up
of existing sounds: the settings and mix of elements in PRE-set
sounds may astonish you (creating sounds is a skill!!!).

Funny start: take a piano and add some BELL elements.

Yeh I made already a copy of the banks and so on.

Ofc I start tweaking existing sounds first.
