I compose big band/orchestraal/filmscore style pieces and have only used Motif ES6 factory patches like this:

I want to use sound fonts and orchestral samples instead.
Can anybody tell me how to load those sounds (such as a commercial prepared disc) onto the ES6 and utilize them?

I’m very manual averse (asperger’s syndrome)but I can follow
personal instructions.

The ES does not recognize sound fonts. Audio samples have to be in
either 16-bit/44.1khz WAV or 16-bit 44.1khz AIFF format.

John Melas’s Waveform Editor for the XS/XF can load soundfonts and convert them into samples the Motif understands. Unfortunately, the ES version is on indefinite hold according to John.

The Chicken Systems Motif Creator tool can also load soundfonts and convert them into Motif samples but the current ES version is pretty buggy.
