Hi,

I am stuck between a choice of two speakers to link up to an audio interface.

Please can someone give me some advice as to what they think are the best ones:

Here is the audio interface I hope to use. It’s a Steinberg C1

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/699390-REG/Steinberg_CI1_CI1_USB_Recording.html

The speakers are the following:

http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/1C-BK.aspx#featurelist

http://www.djstore.com/item/behms16.htm?affid=froogle

I would have thought the second behringer pair would be the best as they are powered and will fit straight into the interface, hassle free.

Let me know what you think. I’ll be using this for a small studio setup.

Thank you.

You are looking at budget speakers and they will all be about the same in that price range. Whether they are “good” or “bad” is up to your ears.

If money was no object, I wouldn’t be buying those Behringers myself. I’d be getting the top-line Yamaha H-series speakers, or even more expensive ones like the latest Adams or Event Opals or Dynaudio. But I also remember my days of selling retail - whenever someone asked me “what’s the best _____ I can get?”, my reply was always “how much do you have to spend?”.
