does anyone know if you can transfer some of the song writing from the xf to an xs?

I have an xs that doesnt move for live performance, and I bought an xf for the house to work on.  I know the waveforms will be different but since the patches are the same, was wondering if anybody knew.

XF formatted data is not backwards compatible with the XS. It works the
other way around - XS format data can be loaded into the XF.

Moving data from one sequencer to another can be accomplished by saving the XF data as SMF (Standard MIDI File) which will give you a .MID file, which you can load into the XS.
