Hello all,
I have a MO8. I converted a certain midi file to a “SONG”. It’s 298 bars long. Currently, the tempo varies throughout the SONG. I want to change bars 1-171 so all be set at 1/4 note = 125, while in the remaining bars, keeping the current tempo fluctuations as they are. I can see in the manual how to change it measure by measure, which seems a bit tedious. Is there a more efficient way to edit bars 1-171 while leaving the rest as they are?
Thank you,
Rick

Since we don’t know how many tempo events there are in the track it is not really easy to say.

Call up the SONG
Press [EDIT] to view the Event List
Press [F4] TR SEL (Track Select
Press it and it will toggle between a numbered track, the SCENE Track and the TEMPO TRACK.

Here you can view all the TEMPO EVENTS.
If it just a few from 1-171 - you can DELETE them manually.
If it is too many to consider, you can use the EDIT JOB

Press [JOB]
Press [F3] EVENT
Select JOB 03 ERASE EVENT
Press ENTER

Set the MEASURE region from 1:01:000 - 171:01:000 and press [ENTER] to wipe out all the tempo events in that region

Yes, Thank you Bad Mister.
I think I understand now. An “EVENT” is a change in the tempo, then after an EVENT, all the following bars will be at that particular tempo until another EVENT, aka tempo change, comes along.
The SONG that I made from the midi had an EVENT almost every bar, so it looked like every bar had a tempo assigned. But it was really just a bunch of small tempo fluctuations resulting in ALOT of EVENTS. (It was as if the drummer kept “rushing the beat” until it was just too darn fast.)
So, I used the “JOB” method as you had described, and that cleaned things up.
So, thank you very much!
Rick
