So I was reading that majority of the new updates on the XF(as for as the operating system) was going to support the XS as well. So i Started wondering if we are going to get tap tempo too? that would be great.  BTW I went to guitar center in Sacramento and seen the XF. I like the black design and that’s about it.

From my understanding, yes we will get tap tempo on the next XS OS update. That will be cool :-)

If I remember correctly Yamaha stated that they will include as many of the OS updates that the XF has as is possible in the XS.  I am pretty sure they mentioned tap tempo as one of those things.
