I am looking to get the motif xs8, I was told by a sales person at guitar center that the 8 sliders can programed to have 8 individual sounds/voice for during liver performance, by just using the sliders to adjust volume. can anyone tell me if this is true? I love to layer sounds and have different sounds ready to play at church. Ready to buy need better clarification.

I saw a demonstration by Bert, but as far as I could understand,
he mixed 8 elements in a Voice by sliders.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you can do what you want in song mode.

The sliders can be used in song and pattern mode to adjust volume for track 1-8 or 9-16.

Just watch out with polyphony.
Layering 8 voices can consume your resources in a snap…

Notice the differences in voice and performance mode:

In voice mode:
You’ll be able to change 8 different elements in one voice, for example 8 different drawbars of an organ voice.

In performance mode:
You’ll be able to layer up to four voices and control the volumes with the sliders.

I never use this in song mode, but it’s like /M says.
