Thank you Lord,
found a Motif XS Rack for sale, saved $650
question? I have a new Yamaha volume pedal “single trs out”
can I use this with the Rack???

2nd question? I use the rack with a kurzweil keyboard and a roland vk8m organ module but the Motif and Organ dont have a thru other than programming it internally, can I get a gadget to do this externally??

thanks
Steve

2nd… I got a gadget that’s supposed to combine two midi ins to one Midi out, but haven’t used it yet.  I know that’s not a great deal of help.. but places like Sweetwater can help you with that.

Morty,

You cannot plug pedals (or anything 1/4") directly into the rack, so if your controller can handle the input, then you’re all set. It will send the Rack XS the proper signal for whatever it is you want it do to.

A company called ‘Midi Solutions’ makes a number of midi related products that can merge or split signals as required. http://midisolutions.com You can purchase from most on-line retailers as well. I use their 2 into 1 merger all the time without incident.
