I’m trying to record into cubase from my motif xs and i’m hearing the sound come out of the speakers twice during the recording. The playback sounds fine but it recording mode it’s as if it’s coming through twice and is a bit distracting. I’m using cubase 4 essential. any idea how to fix this?

Try this on your XS…
Press [UTILITY] [F5] [SF2] (this should show you the XS midi settings).
Change Local Control to OFF and [STORE] this setting.

Remember to change Local Control to ON again if you want to play on your XS without having the computer and cubase up and running.

Did you check out the monitor utility in Cubase?
