Not sure how to explain this, but it seems everytime i record a drum loop in pattern mode using 4/4 time my sequencer seems to jump once reaching the end, it might even by milliseconds but it feels like i cant get a smooth ryhthm no matter what i do??
Am i overlooking something? please help!!

I’m afraid the problem is your timing.
You need to make your timing more accurate or quantize the notes with PLAY EFFECTS or QUANTIZE JOB.

How do you record the drum loop in pattern mode?
Are you using an onboard drumkit or a 4-beat sample?

yes i was afraid it could be timing, but i mean i have tried everything, quantized 16th note (120) and laid down drum beat with swing and still i cant get it flowing. im pretty sure everything is correct.
Im using an onboard drumkit. ok so if my timing is off, can someone offer me some parameters using the play effect, lets say i have one track with kick drum on beats 1 & 3 and snare on 2 & 4, assume bpm90 and its quantized so kick and snare on each bar, what are some parameters using the play effect to give me a laid back hip hop rhythm. Basically i see people on you tube lay down beats in seconds with about 9 tracks, you cant tell me they have played those without quantize. I would like to have my sequencer set and then play each track with 16th note quantize on (120) and have a hip hop groove each time.. is this possible? what should my settings for each track? swing etc, i know hip hop is around 70-80 swing.
Another question i have is swing? how can i enable the notes to be swung landing on beats 2 & 4 i.e. the snare. all i know how to do is swing 16th note which is (120 & 360) in each bar, how do i swing 1/4 notes i.e. beats 2 & 4.

sorry for the length of this post but please help, i feel im making it so complicated but want a setup to make beats with quantize on and not have to run a job after and quantize everything. I want my groove set before i even touch a key.. any help is appreciated.  cheers Josh
