I’ve programmed my keyboard with mainstage. When I do a programchange from my Motif to mainstage, the volume in my mainstagesound doesn’t change.
I’ve set the volume in both my Motif and mainstage and saved both of them. But when i recall it again from my motif the volume is back to default.
And some patches has the volume +1,3.
I’ve found out that volume slider 7 on motif controls the volume in my mainstage sound.

How do I set the volume in mainstage so that it is the same when I recall it?

Has anyone had the same thing or do you know how to solve it?

/Daniel

I’ve saved a master on the motif and on zone 2 i’ve programmed a sound from mainstage.
But when I save all my settings, both as an master and in mainstage it isn’t the same when recall it again.
It’s the volume that goes back to 0 in mainstage when I recall it. Why is that?

Do you understand?

Sorry but no! Danyk are you trying to control mainstage from the XS with a PC or Mac? What is it that you have that you call mainstage? How do you have the XS hookup (firewire, midi, usb)to mainstage?

If you tell us more info someone may understand.

Okej. I try again.
Maybe not everyone knows about mainstage.

I have Macbook Pro with a program called mainstage. In that program there is a lot of software synths that i run live. And with my mac I have a usb audio/midi interface.
And from my motif i just have midicable to connect to my midiinterface.
And yes I control my mainstage program from my motif.

I’ve done a lot of time in my computer to get the sound I want. And when I’m done with that I save it of course. And for a few sounds I’ve lower the volume in my mainstage program. (It’s just as an mixer in my computer with plug-ins.)

And then I have a master on my motif with two different zones, a pad from my motif on the lower half and a lead sound from my computer on the upper half.
And I’ve edited the master as well to get it right. And I’ve saved both the master and the sound in my Mac.
When I then recall my master again, I would expect it to go back to how I saved it last.
But when I do recall it, the volume on my mainstage patch goes back to 0. But last time I saved it, I’ve hade it to -2db. It’s like the motif tells it to go back to zero. And I don’t understand how.

Is it more clear know?

I’m swedish so maybe I’m not the best to explain in english.

If you speak about the output volume fader in mainstage, check on the motif in mastermode under: edit, choose zone( with track buttons), F4(preset), volume. Here you can program the output fader in mainstage.
90=0.0
Not clear to me if that’s your problem.
