No, you can’t install XS sample memory (i.e. DIMM) in XF. There is a fixed 128MB SDRAM memory.

More precise: when you would install DIMM memory in an XF
it would become an XS (like).
The reason for the XF is just the difference in memory (and a bit more).

Try to enjoy that now officially the top end of Yamaha accepts 2Gb.
