>>> Besides, I’m current autoload file is already close to 500M

Lucky you that you can forget autoload now and store those samples
in up to 2Gb flash.

When the iPhone G4 came out, people lined up to buy it, then they lined up to return it because of the antena problem. My choice is to wait after the September 7 release and see what happens with the new XF units.

I am afraid motif XF will have antenna problem as well…

Why Yamaha constantly comes out with these heavy synths is beyond me. I use Cakewalk Sonar for sequencing. It would be nice and lighter for one nighters if Yamaha would produce an XF without a sequencer and also drop 20 lbs on the weight. Otherwise, I feel unless there’s some “magically unbelievable” sounds in the new XF, for purpose of live and writing processes, the ES series is good enough.

Someone mentioned Canon and it’s digital cameras and camcorders constantly coming out with newer versions. This is a cashbox approach to keep the companies going. For example, Windows is constantly coming out with more versions. If everyone bought the first version of Windows and no more versions were coming out, Microsoft would be bankrupt. Let’s be clear about this. Upgrades are a cashbox at best, but we’ll see how the market reacts to the pricey XF series in this shi**y economy…

Did you mean the S90XS or the S70XS ?

Ever since the XF announcement, I’ve really been thinking about my XS usage and considering more and more maybe a performance tailored board is more suited to my needs. That being said, when the S70/90XF gets released a year or more after the MotifXF (right?) it should a perfect time for me to make the switch. That will give me plenty of time to consider my needs. Although at this time I feel I could never be without my workstation.

Either Yamaha should make an XF series with FULL sampling and sequencer implementation (crossfade looping, step sequencing etc) or they should give up the XF line and make a product with only sampling and synthesis (no sequencing)...S-series doesnt have sampling which is a bummer.

There is no point of making an XF or XS with stripped down sequencer and sampler.

The simple fact is Yamaha wants to give as as little as possible for as much money as the can garner out of us, simple economics really! They claim to be interested in giving us what we need and listening to us, but all they do is throw sh_t in our face and say “Eat that, what other choice do you have buddy boy!” After three stinking long hardarse fu_king years and this is there answer?? What? are the slit eyed goons at head office in Japan a bunch of fu_king shogun dimwits with there heads up there arse or something? My God! I mean, there was so much that could have been done and it could have been here ten years ago as we all know too fu_king well, but i would have thought that the XS successor was going to be something that little bit special.  In 2010, this XF is an unspeakable act of greed and defiance. The US price will be $2,400 plus the obligatory memory card of course just puts icing on their skum sucking money plate. Guess what? That means it’s gonna be $4,800 in Australia plus $500 for a memory card, and you need two of those of course (Get me that fu_king sniper rifle someone!). Can’t yamaha handle the fact that Aussie wages are twice that of the yanks. They decide our wages are better so they might as well pilfer it out of us. Every Aussie knows our dollar is currently worth 94 cents american, so what the fu_k is up with this massive price gouging debarcle Yamaha??? Have you sh_theads there at Yamaha US heard of that saying “beyond a joke?” well you know and i know that you have been doing this same old sh_t for years now. The fact is that Yamaha has become conceited and arrogant, because you pack of fu_kwits keep giving them your money and they don’t feel the need to put in any effort to win a user base that keeps rewarding them with their money. It’s called taking you and us and everyone else for a fu_king ride. Me and a few others know what they are up to. But the rest of you are like all those fu_king zombies in the world that think there is no conspiracy and that the freemasons don’t rule and manipulate the whole western financial system to their own ends.
There is a livid hate and wrath in me towards Yamaha that would make me throw them into hell right now if i had the power. No doubt most of them are gonna end up there any way, and boy, just wait until they find out it’s a very real place, there’s gonna be some sorry arse Yamaha employees in that fu_king place.
It’s pretty much akin to Canon, Nikon, and Apple products really. The majority of dumbass fu_ks in this world keep buying their overpriced sh_t, despite the fact that there are competing brands offering even better quality with more features for half the price. Do your research dickheads, and stop promoting this arrogant haughty proud pigheaded high-minded stuck-up defiant derogatory conceited pompous heady little stunt of a merry go round Yamaha has got you all on.There are no words that can describe the absolute pure hatred i have for Yamaha. Rather than compromise a little bit and actually put in an effort to give us features with substance that are relevant and at a price that makes everyone happy within reason, what do they do? well ha ha ha same sh_t different bucket. Vote with your wallat idiots, or else you get what you deserve.

You have a point but stop using racist rants like ‘slit-eyed goons’. It makes you look like a nimrod......how if i call you aussie a paleface pignose! stop it already!

I don’t believe in you’re mason theory. But i think is in human nature to be greedy and to try to become more rich than the others and if is possible,to become rich with only a little effort.Everyone’s dream is to become rich with no big effort. Of course the leaders of this world are very rich and they want to preserve that in they’re own interest. That’s why they try to control the masses with different tools, like NaF for example.... And is well known that a rich man ,want to grab even more money and power. That’s why the Economic Crisis exist. Because is in human nature to be greedy. Maybe u don’t like many companies and how marketing works. But u can’t change the human nature.

DmitryKo, your just the example i was talking about. Your a brainwashed lazy goon who hasn’t done any research. If you knew your facts, you would know that a full frame sensor has absolutely no advantage over a APS-C sensor. I’ve looked at every technical test under the planet with side by side comparisons of 100% magnafied RAW files and seen the data. The whole mis-information bandied about is that the full frame sensor has better dynamic range, better signal to noise ratio, better color accuracy, and better resolution, what a load of sh_t, have you heard of the “law of limiting returns” fart head. The only reason Canon went with full frame sensors was to appease all the pro’s who had already spent tens of thousands on 35mm size lenses. In every technical category the slightly smaller APS-C sensor equals and sometimes surpasses the full size sensor in every respect. You spent thousands on a Canon to say hey look, i’ve got an overpriced full frame camera that does sweet fu_k all better than the others. What are you a fashion victim or something, get a life dweeb. The cheapest full frame digital SLR in the Canon range is the 7D. With standard lens it costs $3299 here in Australia. The Pentax K7 costs less than half that… It is fully weather sealed, has a 100% viewing viewfinder,RAW development plus conversion to 16bit TIFF all on board(which no canon or nikon can do), it has 7 frames a second shooting, full aliminium alloy body, 3 inch pin sharp LCD, massive amounts of battery time per charge as in 850 shots, HDR shooting onboard, bat out of hell autofocus, HDMI output, HD video, and a 150,000 rated shutter mechanism. Got any come backs for that lot goose brains.

My Motif ES7 at around a hefty 50 lbs. plus a case, is a real bear to haul and set up for one nighters. Why can’t Yamaha make a similar synth without a sequencer, which I’ve never used and lighter for one nighters and such???
