It’s a new keyboard stand from Yamaha called the LG800.  We will post details soon.

Real nice! A tad bit expensive. Although if the quality is there, and rigidity, that price isn’t to bad. Looks like around $300 bucks. It seems to be a (3) piece assembly, with no folding features, which is fine by me. Alot of other gigging musicians might complain about that. My experience has been, as soon as a folding feature is introduced to a stand design, rigidity is sacrificed. I’m curious to see how rigid this model is. Based on this model not being a folding arrangement it might be very rigid.

Many thanks for the heads-up!

Just the sort of stand I am looking for, for my Korg CX-3 v2 Combo Organ (fitted with an additional lower keyboard similar to the Korg BX-3)!
At present I have to use two “X” stands to support the two keyboards, and they get on the way of my feet!

Paul...MO6 + MM6...and a Hammond B3 clone!

Would be a nightmare to set up for one-nighters. There’s a stand at a good price at Musician’s Friend.com

Please read the specs and customer opinions. Any thoughts on this for a Es7 or XF7?

I made (2) minor modifications to this stand to get the perfect fit I’ve looked for so long. Changed out bolt style and added tape to stiffen the tube tolerance on the inside

Here is the layout I use for the XS8/NE3

SDC10291.JPG

This is the mod. Removed the bulky handle bolts and use hex head

SDC10292.JPG

You can see that the big Handle bolts are too high, Ive shown one there to the right for example. You can imagine if those 2 hex bolts were the handle bolts, the board would have to rest on top of them if you wanted the board all the way back. This is why alot of people complain that the back end sticks out too much

SDC10294.JPG

Below arrangement. You can see where the hex bolt is, would have been the big handles

SDC10303.JPG

Nice and tight fit… Does not use an extra real estate

SDC10301.JPG

Nice looking stand… Sturdy too

I have a Quiklok WS550 stand too. What I like about it is its flexible, it is not just one stand. You can use it for just one KB, or add a second tier which I did. I also bought the music stand for it too for practicing at home. I don’t put my second KB tier on the stand when I’m reading music and learning new songs, but I use the 2nd KB when I gig.

You can also buy a modular setup that has shelves for a computer, a computer KB, shelves for speakers, etc. Then you can assemble it for how you are going to use it at home or when you gig. Its sturdy and a very solid base for a MOTIF.

Its inexpensive enough that you could afford more than one. Keep one stand set up at home, and the other in your equipment truck.

Cheers,

Mike T.
