Thanks for the replies, Bad_M and papa, and in this case, probably “no news is bad news”...could somebody check with Julien to get the final, definitive word on the XS/XF Arp Manager project? df |

I agree totally with dfahrner, this is an important issue...particularly to the unwashed who own the S70/90xs.

Anyone checked this with Julien? An arp manager for the XS would be of ENORMOUS help! Regards, WizzyWizz

+1 The clear statement by Yamaha that this software would be available was instrumental in my decision to purchase the S70XS…

Just recieved my new XF6 today and came across this thread. I hope this Arp manager software comes available soon.... the arps was one of the reaons I got the motif. Maybe it’s been shelved due to the production of the Karma software that’s soon to be available for us motif owners… |

There wasn’t a “clear statement” from Yamaha that the XF/XS Arp Manager would ever be available, they only said “Yamaha has worked with developers from around the world to develop new apps that are both XS and XF compatible including: Arp Manager - Julien Sabdes (France)”...that might just mean that Yamaha gave Julien some information about XF/XS file and arp structures so that he could update his existing ES Arp Manager...since it’s not a Yamaha product, release of a new XF/XS version is entirely up to Julien, and he’s probably decided to spend his time on projects that have a wider appeal and a greater return on investment...from the general lack of forum activity concerning arps, I don’t think many Motif owners use them...so as Mr. Praline said in another thread, “The XF/XS Arp Manager has apparently passed on! This program is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet it’s maker! The XS/XF arp manager’s a stiff!...[etc.]” df |

Monty Python references notwithstanding, is the parrot (sorry, I meant program) really dead? An XS/XF Arp Manager would be useful. |

What happened? Is the development/testing on or is the project gone? |

now how you work that out with that arps disaster… i want to creat a best-of-libary with different user-arps… which is the best way to load single voices of different ALL files with their special user-arps (without overwriting if they have the same number)? |
