Hi there,
Changed the MO6 for an ES7 - and its great!
Any idea what the problem is and how to solve it?
Kind regards, Michiel |

The file loads - it is not clear from your description what exactly happens after that. It seems you are able to “scroll through the user arps” up to a point.
What happens when you don’t scroll through the arps?

Hello BadMister, Thanks for reacting on this issue. The file with the arps is called arps.w7g (and arps.w8g). It’s made for my MO. Now loaded into the ES7 it works OK just playing voices. But when I am playing a voice and go to the arp menu and scroll through the user arps (from 1 up to 200) - to change the arp used in the voice - the synth totally ‘freezes’ (doesn’t respond to any key/ button) when I get to 199, 200 or 201). The arp file contains 256 user arps (maximum capcity). In my arp file there are about 230. In the specs of the ES there are 128 user arps mentioned. Maybe this is part of the problem? I am working on a smaller user arp file (only 128 user arps, 128 empty places) and will see if this helps (quite some work, selecting the user arps I really need and which ones to delete, so still working on that). If you have any advise that might help, thanks! Kind regards, Michiel |

What version firmware is your Motif ES? Have you tried loading the data into the MO? I know you said you created on the MO but have you tried actually loading the file you created into your MO… see if it works - the data could simply be corrupted. Let us know. |

I loaded the file into the MO and it worked fine.
The arp file was changed in the arp manager program, then loaded into the ES7. The arps play well when playing the voices, but when changing the (user) arp pattern, well, as I told, scrolling through the arps ends with about #200, the ES7 gets stuck. Ever noticed a problem like this before? I does seem strange that the ES manual says there are 128 user arps - but that it’s possible to load an arp file with 256 user arps… Michiel |
