hey! im new here...and i dont know much about computers.
since a few days i own a motif rack xs. i installed the usb-midi driver the studiomanager and the rackxseditor… and this is my problem: the editor is installed but it doesnt run and the studiomanager cant find it… im a mac user and i work with logic(the standard midi communication via port1 works well...)
i want to use the editor in stand alone mode cos i want to mix some passages to get a goog stereosum for recording...i like the effects eqs and dynamics- and i want to use it!!! its not very comfortable to mix at the rack… do i have to copy any data into a special folder to run the editor? i really dont understand that stuff:)

sorry for the stupid question(and my bad english)...but…

please help me!

greets from berlin

peter

Welcome to the forum.

A very common error is to download the wrong Editor… there are two:

Motif-Rack XS Editor VST version 1.4.0 (which undoubtedly you downloaded by mistake)

Motif-Rack XS Editor version 1.3.0

The VST version Editor runs as a VSTi within a VST3 compatible DAW like Cubase or Studio One (this allows you to address it from within the DAW’s audio routing setup).... while the Motif Rack XS Editor (1.3.0) is the one that runs with STUDIO MANAGER! and is the one you want to download in this case!

Download the correct Editor and it will be “seen” by Studio Manager! :)

No. You run Studio Manager and the Motif-Rack XS Editor v1.3.0 along side of Logic. If you have questions on configuring Logic please post in the Logic forum here on Motifator, we have some very Logic-savvy folks there.
