Is there any way to force low or high note priority in mono mode for either voices or performances? So if I play a chord the lowest note only can be assigned to bass and highest to wind? Funkster |

It does seem like high-note priority on a mono voice would be useful, since often the highest note in a chord is the melody (think big band horn/sax section)...low-note priority, while traditional in synths, is probably just a holdover from the electrical design of early ARP and Moog analog monophonic keyboards...so maybe the high/low choice is something to be considered for a new OS (and could we add it to the S90XS/S70XS too?)… On the other hand, I’ve never played a keyboard where you could set one mono voice to high-note while playing along with another poly voice, so ??? df |

The current motif xs doesn’t do low note priority..it does last note priority… So if you hold down a c in your left hand and then play e g Bb while holding down the c, you will hear e g Bb; if it was lo note priority (what I’d like for bass) it would just play the C and sustain that… Funkster |

You got it right, funkster, it’s last note priority...it may be possible to do that horn section, but only if you’re very careful to hit the highest note last… |
