I’m a newbie in using sampling so here goes.Ok,I have just recorded a guitar part in song mode,I went through the correct procedure and it came out as I wanted it after I auditioned it. How then do I play it back with the rest of the song? as all I am hearing on playback is a one note piano key instead of my guitar part.I’ve been thru the manual and cannot find anything on sample playback. Need some help here. Thanks in advance. |

For help with your issue it would be helpful to know what you feel is the ‘correct procedure’. If you had done the ‘correct procedure’ all you would need to do is press PLAY ! (lol). Seriously |

sorry BM, everything went ok so far as recording the sampled guitar. When I auditioned it I got the guitar but upon pressing play I got a single piano note C3 along with the other tracks instead of the sampled guitar track. |

When I asked about what you felt the correct way was - I was asking what the exact setup procedure you used.
What TRIGGER MODE did you use?
What did you do? Did you press [ENTER] to confirm your sample? After you audition it, if you like what you sampled you are supposed to hit ENTER to fix… (keep). |

After some fooling around with it I have discovered that the track will play back, but ONLY if I press and hold down the key C3 exactly at the first beat of the measure. I did use the sample+note, you mentioned TRIGGER aha, thats sounds like something I need to look into. I’m guessing thats my problem, will it then play without my holding down the key? How do I trigger it? Sorry to sound like a numbnuts but the manual dosent seem to cover every little detail.

If you used “sample+note”, the Integrated Sampling Sequencer will create a note-on event that will trigger the playback of your sample from the start of recording through to the end of recording.
“Recording type =sample+note” – for sampling in the Sequencer.
Combine with TRIGGER MODE = MEAS (measure) you have everything you need. ”TRIGGER MODE = MEASURE” – sampling will begin, once armed, when the sequencer reaches the measure number set as the Punch In point. Sampling will stop automatically when the measure counter reaches the Punch Out point. This will ensure that the NOTE-ON event will precisely playback your entire recording. |

It will not trigger. I have recorded the sample guitar track using the measure/note on with a punch in on 002 and out at 0036 and the only way I can play it back is by hitting C3 and only if I hit the key in the right spot at 002,a little late and the track is behind the beat,a little early and it wont play. It’ll play back ok when I press AUDITION I checked with the edit mode and the waveform is on 000 of measure 2 and so is the note-on. whats going on BM? |

I continued fooling around.I did another track and it WORKED! Maybe my problem was that I transposed the other tracks up from C to E and played the sample track in the key of E (untransposed) Learn something new every day Huh? |

.....but having said that the question now is. If the song is transposed from C up to E why then will the note-on trigger(C3) which I had on track 1 NOT trigger the playback? |
