Does somebody know where can I buy a USB Cable that kind blends itself 45 degrees down (right at the plug in), to avoid damaging the USB port by somebody passing or getting very close the Moitf XS ?

I been looking for one but can’t seem to find it.

You can buy USB multi-port hubs that rotate or swivel. You find those at Fry’s. Searc their site for “USB multi-port hubs”, “USB hubs” or “USB adapters.

http://www.frys.com

You can also Google those items, they’re usually available from Amazon.com as well.

I purchased a Dynex portable USB hub (DX-HUB23) at Best Buy.  This is a hub designed to be used with a laptop so it has a short pigtail USB connector.  I plugged the pigtail into the XS’s USB port and then used Velcro to fasten the hub to the back of the XS.

This eliminates the thumb drive sticking out, and also gives me extra ports to plug in additional drives and a USB keyboard.

Something Yamaha should consider for XS’s successor: a USB port inside a panel in the bottom or back of the synth.  You’d open a cover, install a thumb drive, replace the cover, and now you have “internal” storage that won’t be lost or broken.  Maybe a larger bay with SATA/power connectors that could accept a laptop hard drive, for those who need to store/load lots of samples or use the audio record feature a lot. :)
