Hi,

my motif ES6 is giving me a hard time on sampling, got the ES6 about three years ago but never used the sampling function until last weekend.
with the tutorial dvd playing I tried to load small wav files (16-bit 44.1 khz) and not only did they sound bad, a lot of clipping sounds and noise, the samples also seemed to change pitch on the same key when played longer & the motif also crashed / freezed many times.

The memory installed is one of the types suggested on a motif ES compatible memory chart.

what could be the problem?

Memory could be the problem. If you don’t installed it properly to the slot (you should check this at first) or the memory chip itself has a problem (although it is suggested type) there is a possibility for such a behaviour.

thanx

I removed & replaced the memory, then under info it showed something like 3.8gig available from 512mb!? I removed & replaced the memory again and now everything works fine. Although I find the sampling function quite complicated and not very intuitive.
