Hi guys,

I have a NORD C1 Combo Organ and a Roland PK-5 Bass Pedal Board.

I hate the crappy Bass sounds on the Nord C1 and want to use something else.

I am considering buying the Motif XS7, my question is it possible to assign bass sounds from the Keyboard to the Pedals and still simultaneously play the Motif as a normal keyboard?

Also what kind of bass sounds does the Motif have that might be similar to the Organ type ‘16’, 8’ Bass sounds found on an organ etc?

Really appreciate help, Im not experienced in MIDI so please speak in easy terms thanks

i can’t answer about the sounds,

but in order to play your bass while playing the keyboard normally, it is possible using master mode. set a channel to “ONLY RECEIVE” or “LOCAL OFF” or something. in the same mode, u can split/layer up to 16 patches by key range and/or velocity.

thanks for that, I hope others can perhaps fill me in on what sounds it has. Also how many live presets does the board have?

for instance, I’m a backing musician and whilst I’m playing I need a trumpet, piano or Sax instantly. How many ‘buttons’ are available for instant one touch access to sounds?

thanks again

Gary
