I am trying to use my V-Drums to record midi patterns on MO6. I want to use the drum voices on the MO.  When I’m in Voice Mode the drums trigger whatever voice is selected.

However, In Pattern Record I can never get any voice except Acoustic Piano.  I have tried selecting a Template and making sure that I am trying to record the correct track, but voice is always acoustic piano.

The drums tramsmit automatically on channel 10 and I know there is some cmmunication from the drums as I can play whatever kit I want in voice mode. I know I’m overlooking something small, but It’s a big problem for Noob me.

Thanks.

If you are limited to transmitting on channel 10 by your drum controller, then you should set a Drum Kit on PART 10 of your MIXING setup.

Go to PATTERN mode
Press [MIXING]
Press [EDIT]
Press Track Select button [10] to view PART 10 parameters
Press [F1] VOICE
Press [SF1] VOICE
Select Drum Kit VOICE for this PART.

Thanks a bunch.  Worked like a charm.  The midi stuff combined with the keyboard itself is a lot to learn, but I’m making steady progress.  Thanks again.
