I already tried that before posting this thread, and I realize now that it does work. It just looked like it didnt...haha. Heres what I did for anyone else.... After converting one Reason NNXT patch to an XS .x0v file, select another NNXT patch and just drag it onto the new .x0v File that you just created. If you expand the All Voice File it will look like nothing has happened, no name change/update for initialized voice 002, but! If you click on in, on the right part of translator you will see that it did load the waveforms but not the actual name like the first patch. Ive yet to load the file into my XS but I am very confident that it will work. p.s....Chickeneps.....A while ago propellerhead put out a program to let you copy the patch/audio files from Reason Refills… Thanks again for the help |

We did email you back on Feb 22; here is the exchange: (you) “(In Constructor) I tried to open Yamaha motif xs all voice (x0v) files witch i have been converted with Translator but seems that dosent work . Is Yamaha motif xs supported on osx in next release ?” (us) I thought it was now; I’ll check and make sure it is. For any reports, please go to http://www.chickensys.com/constructor/bugreports and fill one out. Since this thread is titled “Translator” I assumed you meant Translator, since you didn’t mention what program you were talking about. Translator works fine. Constructor is newer and has different functions and features. Now that we have your Bug Report, we can start acting on your request. |

Yes and still havent heard that is it supported in next release when ever that will be. And by supported i mean that it works, just for clarity.
Yes this thread is about Translator, but you started to advertise Constructor in this thread so i did have to comment that it is just not nearly ready what your company website says. I have been waiting over year to get something what i paid for, but lets see. I just hope i dont have to wait another year to get working one.
Are you saying that u were waiting for my bug report ???
but lets just hope that we do get excelent tool for best workstation in earth :) |

You didn’t say which product you were referring to; thanks for clearing that up.
A Bug Report gets any action started, that’s why we advised you to fill one out. |

Let me make a statement. It seems that “jone” and I had the same experience with CS customer service. I contacted chicken systems via email to see if they will resolve my issue as per what chickeneps suggested. If they do good I will let you know other wise I say walk softly. |

Guess what! CS replied within 24 hours but I got pretty much the same response I got 10 years ago… sorry you are S.O.L. buddy :P. Oh well the product worked well when it did. All you CS users...Warning “buyer beware!” I would hate for you to go through what I did to recover. Keep backups in another format or at least start archiving your XS as a x0a (pg 275-280)! Yamaha did a good job with this feature |

It’s interesting, whenever I do a search for Chicken Systems regarding Motif, Roland, etc. I find “chickeneps” involved in this same exact type of conversation and marketing. I agree, buyer beware. The demos are also extremely crippled to the point that I find you can’t really get things tested properly before purchasing. Hmmm. The Motif Camp is not alone as problems persist with the Roland Group as well. Chickeneps wants everyone to ask questions, but are we really getting quality answers? Any success stories? Thanks! |
