The question is really not that clear - we think you are using the [REMOTE ON/OFF] function to control start/stop and record, etc, of Cubase.  The question is are you:
1) Recording original data to Cubase
2) Transferring MIDI data from the Motif ES to Cubase
3) Transferring arpeggio data generated in the Motif ES to Cubase

Each of these three operations is different enough to require a slightly different setup.

When REMOTE ON/OFF is active (ON), you can use the front panel of the Motif ES to remote control Cubase operations (there are templates to control, Sonar, Logic, Digital Performer as well). The purpose is so that you can stay at your keyboard and do the basic control functions from right in front of you - without having to reach for the mouse or QWERTY keyboard when you are getting ready to play music.

Cubase typically works on a RECORD-ONE-TRACK-AT-A-TIME workflow method. You build your tracks one-at-at-time that is how it is designed to work. If you are attempting to transfer multiple tracks, say from a sequence you originally recorded in the Motif ES, you would need to setup slightly differently: You would still setup to record to one single Cubase track but set the MIDI channel = “ANY” (literally).

If, for example, you had the MIDI channel set to 1, all the data would try to playback from the VOICE assigned to PART 1 - THIS WOULD NOT BE GOOD. Chaos!!!

Set the MIDI channel = “ANY” and now the data will be recorded by Cubase on the MIDI channel on which that data originated.

After you record the data, you can use the MIDI > DISSOLVE PART function to split the data to separate Cubase tracks.

this doesnt work. if i press the play or rewind button it sounds a sound but the function (go backward in the song or play the song) doesnt work. maybe i should call the support.

This is a clear indication that your MIDI ports are assigned all wrong.

you have remote control commands mixed in with your music commands… anytime button pushes are making sounds it is because you did not setup the MIDI PORT functions properly. You can call support or provide us the information about your setup - we’d be happy to help you but unfortunately you have yet to tell us anything about your setup (computer, operating system, drivers, MIDI connections, etc., etc.)
