Hi there, Mike.

This is a VERY pretty song.  It is one which translates quite nicely over my speaker system, and it is such a pleasure listening to it.  I also think that ”A Treasured Life” is a very apt title for it.

This one will be a keeper, for sure - and I will indeed be looking to hearing more from you.

Excellent...I mean EXCELLENT workmanship, on this.

Thanks so much for your kind words and compliments. I am very glad you enjoyed it and that it sounded good on your sound system. I do try to mix using a variety of audio (e.g., headsets, good sound system, and computer speakers).

I have tried the song a different way...you might like it too.

Let me know which is better.

Mike.

Man...that was a tough call to make.  I A/B’d your two mixes no less than 4x before coming to the difficult decision of siding with the first version being the best to my ears.

On your second version you have a piano lead-in that I thought was REALLY nice.  That part (to me) truly belongs in the song, because it fits very nicely.

Yes..this is one superb composition, and you really ought to be proud.

Mike,

I will keep it short.

The version Threasure Life version 2, is far better. The mix is clearer and more transparant and the piano and guitar leads are way better too.

The firs Threasure sounds busy and muddy in my ears.

So keep version 2. I will keep that one on my player.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the notes on comparisons. It helps me to also know how others hear the songs...that way I can develop a better mixing ear too!

Cheers,

Mike

Still you, but man I really like the first/top version better, was even singing freestyle to it.
I called “Suddenly” lol
Now that’s a REAL guitar right?, I ask because there is a guitar voice on the XS that sounds like that.
Ok, I’m typing as I listen a second time to this first one, and I’m getting a little lost while singing and typeing at the same time.

Very good work, and I shall replay this a few more times and steal it from you..LOL JUST KIDDING,,BUT I REALLY LIKE THAT MELODY.

Thanks for sharing your work.
