Hello,

I have purchased my MM8 three weeks ago.  When I first started using it I noticed that middle G’s action is different that the other keys.  When it is pressed makes a different sound and snicks with no resistance.  Seem like there is not padding behind it.  Beside this everything is great and I love its simplicity and sound.
I exchanged MM8 yesterday and to my surprise the new one has the same issue with middle G.  I am more inclined to think that I’ve got two lemons from Yamaha than this being a design flaw.  I really believe in Yamaha and this is hard to accept.

I am trying to find out if I should exchange this one or just keep since all of them are going to be like this!

I once bought 2 taperecorders, differing 1 in the serial# and…
... both had the same failure.
I guess that for Yamaha each and every key counts.

I got the 3rd MM8 with the same key issue.  I decided to keep it since beside the G key response it is a good board.  Hooked it up and notice that it did not generate any sound.
Took it back to store and got the 4th one.  Same key, same issue.  On top of that the sound engine does not function properly on this keyboard.  During the performance sounds get distorted and attenuated.

I would love to get a working MM8.

Still a Yamaha fan.
