jones, this is the same line of question that was covered in your previous post.  In that post you simply state that the document to which Bad_Mister referred (Sampling to the Sequencer) “feels too complex to understand”.  In that document, Bad_Mister takes you through the actions required step by step and in a very clear format.  As such, there is not much point in repeating the steps here.  Have you tried to follow the steps, starting on Page 3 under the title “Sampling Audio to a Motif ES Song”?

If you have gone through the document and cannot understand it, then at what point did you get stuck? Your question suggests that you have not understood the way in which the ES works.  Essentially you are putting a “note on” in the track you select when you sample to the sequencer, and that note on triggers the sample that you recorded to the memory. If you can go through the document again, raising questions when you get stuck (rather than simply saying it is too complicated), you will find that people here can be of more help to you.

atlast I was able to record using my guitar. few questions regarding it

1. The volume of my guitar is not high, I tried to increase the gain, I tried to increase the volume in song edit mode still very low volume.

2. Is there any possibility of me able to use the overdrive of the keyboard to my guitar?

3. In the intergrated sampling I see a PUNCH 001-002 does it mean my sample recording will stop at 002 and if I need to play the guitar for lets say 70 measures I need to choose 001 - 070 am I right?

Sorry not much of a techno guy not as smart as you guys out there.

Thx
