Hi, I purchased the 80’s pop/rock about a week and a half ago and have been trying to get them to load ever since. I get that I won’t be able to load the performances into the ES Rack, but I can’t get the voices either. I read through the comments given to firstaudio, but I can’t get far enough for that to help me. My voice editor will not even open the W7E or W8E files to even get started. My USB connection is working, and I have got a couple of other things to load using the Studio Manager--just not these! I would appreciate any ideas that people might have
Thanks,

We see from your profile you are working with a Macintosh computer. In order to use the Studio Manager and the Motif-Rack ES Editor you must configure Studio Manager. Have you setup Studio Manager - added the Motif-Rack ES Editors to the Workspace? If yes, have you clicked on the MIDI SETTINGS tab and setup the MIDI IN and MIDI OUT Ports… please give details. These MIDI ports allow Studio Manager to address your computers USB-MIDI in/out Once you launch the Editor you must setup the MIDI PORTS of the application. This setup lets the editor communicate with Studio Manager. When attempting to open file but a .W9E (Motif-Rack ES file) you must set the file type… in Mac-speak you must “ENABLE” the OPEN dialog box so that it can open a (.W7E Motif ES Editor File). |

Yes, the Studio Manager is set up and running. I loaded another voice package, “Vintage” by opening it in the voice editor without any problems. Could there be a reason why this particular file won’t open? I guess I don’t know enough about it.
Thank you for your continued help,
